The authors of the book are professionals and students, who are part of the Google’s Associate Product Manager program. The authors have collated their experiences, insight and knowledge to expand the average reader’s understanding of the inner workings and decision-making process of the tech industry. Griffin Kao is a computer science and mechanical engineering student at Brown University. He’s worked as both a software engineer and product manager at B2B and B2C companies in tech, and has acquired a lot of insight into how the tech industry operates. Jessica Hong is studying computer science at Cornell University. She’s been able to witness the impact of technology in the world through her previous roles as a software engineer, product manager, and venture capital partner. Michael Perusse is a Harvard University student of Computer Science and Mathematical Sciences. He’s worked as a product management intern for both Google and Microsoft, and has written for a variety of magazines and websites. Weizhen Sheng is at the University of Pennsylvania, studying Networked & Social Systems Engineering and pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science. He’s previously worked as a product manager and engineer in the tech industry, and as an analyst at an investment board.
